The Sacher Hotels in Vienna and Salzburg have been awarded the GBAC Star from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council and Sharecare VERIFIED™ seals, evidence of the establishment and implementation of programmes for cleaning, disinfection and prevention of the spread of infectious diseases.
The health of our guests is our greatest concern, and we place the highest value on hygiene and cleanliness at the Sacher. Our hotel rooms, as well as all public rooms, are regularly aired. The air conditioning and ventilation systems ensure a regular and complete air exchange: on average, the entire room air is exchanged once an hour. Before each arrival, the hotel room is completely aired for at least 30 minutes by our staff with the windows open. In addition, we make sure that considerably more than the required, statutory minimum amount of fresh air is circulated in the hotel rooms. Furthermore, all windows in our hotel rooms are easy to open, so that additional, individual ventilation is possible according to need and preference. Before each arrival, all rooms are cleaned completely with additional attention to high-touch surfaces. Public areas are also cleaned more frequently, especially reception and concierge desk, control panels and buttons, and public toilets.
